Film composer Andrew Barrett has composed original scores for Cry
Baby Lane and Twist of
Fate and has worked as additional
music composer and orchestrator on such notable feature
films as Autofucus, National Lampoon's
Christmas Vacation, The City
of Lost Children, Lost
Highway and Arlington
Road.
Recent projects include music for the scores of Imaginary Witness: Hollywood & The Holocaust, featuring Gene Hackman, with appearances by Steven Spielberg and Sidney Lumet and Julie Johnson, starring Lili Taylor and Courtney Love. Bloomberg Television News used Andrew's music as their main theme between 1997 and 2001. Other television and radio credits include the theme for the ABC-TV series Cracker and commercials for clients such as Nissan Motors, Victoria's Secret, Lipton and Wrigley. His songs have been recorded by Deniece Williams, Candi Staton, Melisa Morgan and others. Andrew gained a Music Degree at Indiana University School of Music, where he studied piano with Walter Robert and Janna Dawson, composition with Bernard Haydn and jazz arranging with David Baker and Don Sebesky. He worked as a session musician in New York with musicians such as Will Lee, Jeff Miranov, David Spinozza, Chris Parker and Marcus Miller. His work with Chic producers Nile Rogers and Bernard Edwards resulted in many platinum and gold singles and albums. |
